Default Ordered 2022 Defender HSE P400

New to this forum so hello from Dallas TX! I've liked the look of the new Defender ever since it was launched and after test driving a P400 last week I was impressed enough to order one. If the order sheet is to be believed and covid doesn't interfere, delivery expected early July. We are not new to JLR cars as my wife previously had an F-Pace and now drives a Velar. I drive a 2011 Range Rover Sport SC that I have owned since 2013. As I think about it, I've now owned the RRS longer than any other car. Huh...well, I really enjoy driving it and shockingly, it has been more reliable than the 2011 Toyota Camry it replaced--I could well be tempting fate saying that. Anyway, looking forward to the new Defender.

Congrats and good luck. Im on the cusp of an order for a 2022 HSE P400 as well. Im a little concerned that the configurator for 2022s isnt online yet. Did you notice any specific options that changed from 21 to 22?

@jwasson68 FWIW, I had a 2021 on order in early feb that quickly got moved to a 2022. My dealer mentioned the 2022 configurator won’t be online for a while. That said, the options are very similar to a 2021 - air suspension and clear sight is not standard on most trims and there is a new larger screen. Anyhow, I’d just build the 2021 you want and add 1-2k to the price to get a sense of what the 2022 would be. I sent the dealer my 2021 build and they ordered a 2022 with that info. Went with a p400 se with quite a few options / packages.

Yes, there is one thing I wanted, refrigerator, that I could not get for some reason. My dealer has access the 2022 configurator and he told me it was not available. In the 2021 configurator this was a 0$ option on the HSE. So I’m guessing/hoping this could simply be an online build issue. I think the deadline for changes for me is April so I will keep checking this. I use the refrigerator in my RRS all the time so I would like to keep the same functionality.

Options didn’t really change. Just the new color bumper packs and like 3k more for the same vehicle. And the bigger screen. I was able to get the fridge in my my22 x build but it might not be available for the other configurations for no particularly good reason (typical).
