Default Pictures of the LR Deployable Ladder & Your Thoughts

I'm considering having the LR deployable ladder installed tomorrow. Anyone have any real world pictures of it installed on your Defender, and what are your thoughts and impressions of it? Do you recommend it?

The idea and design is pretty clever and the way it pops out and extends down is a very good idea. But I cannot for the life of me understand why they couldn't incorporate it into the rear of the vehicle. If the Defender were to actually see an off road trail with tight quarters (think tree limbs on a tight trail) it would get jammed up in no time. Over time, how will this age? Will it affect the paint, can it be taken off in 5 years without leaving some kind of negative behind? who knows. Will anyone still be driving their Defender in 5 years, probably not. Just do it.

Everyone has their own "style preferences". Me, I'm a little more old-school and love the Lucky8 design that goes on the back, not the sides:

This is a much better location and it looks great. But $1,200? No thanks.
