Does the radio/media always turn on when starting the vehicle? It doesn’t seem to remember that last state when vehicle is turned off and always comes on by default?
Anyone else experiencing this?

I normally play media through my iPhone so although CarPlay automatically syncs on start up nothing else happens. IIRC, last time I had it on Sirius, it came back on automatically at the next start up.

Ok, so for clarification - when it was set
to Sirius did you turn off your radio using radio off button and then turn off the ignition? If so, when you started the ignition next time did you automatically hear music on Sirius or did it just have the media set to Sirius but muted(or off)?
What I’m finding is no matter what I do, it always unmutes/is on (last volume level) the next time I start the vehicle, which I find annoying and hoping I’ve not set something correctly?

If i turn radio off it stays off, haven't tried mute.


I listen to podcasts, and if I leave the app open on my phone, podcast just resumes after I start the car, but this is not strange, pretty much every car I have starts up where you left it. Radio/XM/AUX.

 

Sorry if my message wasn’t clear, the media “source” setting is fine and understand. However, it is the on/off or unmuted/muted behavior I’m trying to understand.
If I turn off the radio and then shut the truck off I would hope the next time I start the truck the radio regardless of what source would not be on/unmuted?
Make sense?

Software was updated to 3.3.0 yesterday and it appears to have corrected this?

 

Well I spoke (typed) too soon. It seems like if I leave the car and lock it for a while then later get back in and start the truck it turns on with same volume even though I turned the radio off before shutting off the truck and then locking the vehicle

 

No one else experiencing this behavior?

 

I normally don’t turn off my radio/Sirius before turning the vehicle off, so it would make sense that it comes back on when I start the truck the next time.

I’ll turn the radio off before turning off the truck and report back.

 

it works this way for me, 2023 P90. Very annoying to me. I don’t want the radio coming on every time I start.
