Default Remote app problem

Bought my defender 5 days ago. The dealership helped set up my Incontrol account with no issues. But when they tried to have me set up the Remote app, I kept getting a "Generic Error" message and wasnt able to access the app. Dealer said it might just take a few days before the car is recognized by the app. 5 days later, still same message. Anyone else have this issue?

It can be confusing when multiple apps are available for the same purpose. Based on my research, Land Rover Remote and Land Rover InControl Remote are the two main apps for your 2021 Defender.

This person hasn’t been active on this forum in over two years, don’t think it’s relevant by now.

Is this AI spam? the language mixoponev uses is very "AI" esque... I think that's what's going on here. I don't know how to message "moderators" but...

The setup button on my car doesn't work. Doesn't help that the dealership IT guy is totally lost. This should be a pretty simple setup, no?

Mine worked okay once l had downloaded the app.

There's an increasing amount of AI around now, l tend to look out for it and it's often difficult to tell.

I have the app. At the dealership when I picked up the car, the IT guy couldn't get it to work, and he blamed it on the site being down. We keep trying, and the light won't illuminate at all. I hate to take a week-old car in for service, but here we are.
