It is much smaller than in the FR stock photo, but this is how it is installed in real life. The wind deflector comes standard with the rack, there is no extra charge.

Whoa? That's a wind deflector? Cant imagine it's doing much at all.

Here's the Front Runner I have installed to my custom rack. It makes a good deal of difference.

I do, and I've just fitted the PowerfulUK Molle plate to which I'll be affixing some rotopax.

I just took delivery of my P400 and had the OEM rack installed a few days after delivery. No wind noise that I can tell. I also have the lunchbox and the ladder and they don't obscure the rear view from the side mirrors as some people seem to think.

Default Front runner tie down rings for draw system

These seems to fit well and the base should be a start for other fitments.

there and no front to rear rail slots on the expedition rack that the front runner has. The rubber t-slot fillers help reduce c-channel wind noise that can occur at speed and wind in certain directions.
This is great. I am looking for a close up view of the t-track (c-channel) on the rack's bars (looking for t-bolts to secure a couple mounts I got for maxtrax). @Tt22 If it's not too much bother would you mind sharing a pic when you have a chance? Thanks!

I bought the Maxtrax Front Runner attachments and they fit great on the back behind my roof top tent and just clear they roof. I have the official MaxTrax pins but are buried somewhere in my garage and haven't put the time into looking for them. I broke the tip of my MaxTrax in the snow on the Rubicon a few years ago.

the wind deflector that comes with the rack doesn’t do much. take in mind i haven’t not used it without it but wind noise is pretty bad. waiting for the wind fairings to get back in stock

I installed the rack without the small deflector first and definitely noticed more wind noise. Eventhough it is small, it down help with wind noise and I noticed a difference. I may get the larger deflector down the road.
