Sacrosanct Q: Re-name Forum?
This Forum is called 2020 Defender...wondering if it should be renamed "L663 Defender" ...or "New Defender" or even something else?? From what I have read on other forums, JLR may keep this current iteration 20 years without major changes so calling it 2020 Defender is, and will be, very dated. Sorry, I am relatively new here but then again, aren't most of the "New Defender" owners?

@SpyHop - Great idea. The "Admin" posts on here relatively infrequently (I forgot the one that I noticed "Sargent" something or other). Usually when threads get a REALLY "crusty" or toxic. Ping @administrator and start there with the request. Heck, post a survey and see if you get a grass roots effort to have a new name. I agree that "2020" is limited, but God help us all trying to find a different name!

For search engines and prospective/current users, L663 in the title is going to be a terrible idea. The vast majority of owners and especially potential owners have no knowledge of LR's nomenclature.
Keep it simple as every other forum has.
"New Defender"
Easily searchable and it means the same thing to everyone.

@GavinC I disagree. You don’t need to name it yet another name that will be just as dated as defender 2020 just so people can find the forum. You can put a tag in that says “new defender” for people new to the brand. Search engines are way more sophisticated nowadays. L663 will only become more known as time goes on and will be relevant its entire life cycle.

As a fat-fingered, dumb-as-rocks, internet user, I've never see it appear in any well used forum, (There are groups on FB that use it and a quick peek at members and posts per week will back up my shaky stance)
I've never used L663 to search for anything ever. Not once. Never, save for my recent FB inquiry just now.
No other LR model in this forum is referred to in the title by its LR alphanumeric code.
It's like naming a book or a paper. Make it catchy. If I saw L663 Defender as a title and was new to LR I wouldn't for a second make the connection with the new Defender.
