Default Seats...too flat?

Am I the only one who feels the seat bottoms are too flat? While I understand the need not to have too high of side bolsters to aid in egress, it seems that even driving at relatively normal speeds around turns/bends, I find myself wishing I would feel more secure in the seat. I'm not expecting Recaro sport buckets, but even my Jeep Wrangler and Ram 2500 has more seat side bolsters.

They are very similar to my LR4 seats -- which I like and am accustomed to -- and I get in and out often in using the vehicle. I agree they are not Zoom zoom driving seats for sure.

Closer to a 1970s pick-up truck seat than a sports car one......

i'm used to it now (mostly) but yes i agree and it's something that was super noticeable to me when i first got the defender. i don't want a super bolstered seat on this type of vehicle, but i'd prefer more than what it has. i too came from a JL Rubicon and preferred the seat in that (and many things now reflecting back).

Best trick I learned driving this thing is drive it slow. The body roll + the flat seats makes me feel uneasy when taking turns, so I just drive super slow

Important questions. Which seats, how slick are your pants, and how much *** are we talking here?

Perforated leather, cotton, and since you asked, small ***, 175 lb body.
Seats edges need some slight bolstering IMHO.

I too have some gripes about the seats, with 6k on it I can now say the fit sadly wasn't just right for me. If I crank up the height it gets more comfortable for my long legs but it also increasingly becomes more flat. I really want a slightly angled upward seat even when it is cranked up in the high position. The way it works now is the more you lower the seat the more the front angles upward relative to the back, so that's a trade off I don't want to make. I made up my mind if I were to jump out of this 2022/ 90 and buy a 2023/ 110 I would take a closer look at the more premium seats, full electric etc, and see if there's any improvement in this area or if it's the same old. Relative to other recently owned vehicles I do like the seats overall but definitely could be better. I can see my next vehicle being strictly a choice based upon the best fit on the seat, I'm pretty much done with anything less than ideal seating comfort at this point. I'm 6 foot 2 about 192 lbs fwiw 34-35 inseam on most pants, these are the 14-way semi electric seats.

These seats are too flat and we have the upgraded electric and perforated seats. It’s been hard finding a good seating position for me. My wife is fine.

Our 2021 Tahoe has lower grade seats but they are so much more comfy since you sit down into the seat just a bit.

I’ve come to realize that the small bottom cushion section that’s closer to the seat back is just too firm and stuff and causes you to sit too high.

These seats are definitely the only thing I struggle with this vehicle and have made me hesitant to want to drive long distance in it. I love everything else about it…
