Selling My Defender

Selling My Defender
Decided on Selling my '22 Defender 90 S on Thursday because of its appreciated value. This has been by far the best vehicle I've ever owned and way better than I imagined. Very small issues here and there but with all the hate on LR about reliability, it was really unwarranted in my case; at least in the amount of miles I put into it. I'll sell it at just under 16k miles and 8 1/2 months of ownership and trading it in for an Audi to keep a little till my '23 G90 comes in towards the end of the year. I'll have enough money to cover my time with the new Audi for the time I keep it, plus some profit on top of that. For those wondering, I leased my Defender at MSRP ($59,955) from LR Buffalo on July 5th, 2021 at a much lower monthly payment than it would lease out currently for with only $1500 down (which included first month's payment). I will be selling it and trading it in for $65,500. Essentially getting over $9k back in positive equity. My best offer ever was $67,000 from Carmax back on December 28th, 2021, however Carmax, Vroom, and Carvana are currently sitting at $50,000 2 1/2 months and 5k miles later, so not too peeved about selling it at my current price with Audi. I've inquired probably about 20 dealers in the past few months and after sitting in almost every vehicle at the Cleveland Auto Show, I decided with Audi, (I've owned/leased/driven Ram's, Chevy's, Ford's, Mercedes', Genesis', Hyundai's as well). So yeah, thanks for all the info on these forums and it's been a pleasure. Lemme know if you guys have any questions.

Not really, just because my dad and I always wanted a Hyundai Centennial / Equus and the next Gen G90 is absolutely awesome IMO. He owns a ‘21 G80 now. His father had Audi’s back in North Africa so it’s cool to get back into that brand. I myself always liked 2 doors: coupes, cabriolets, or SUV’s; but an executive sedan is awesome too. If I need space I’ll borrow my mom’s Ram, she just takes her 2 dogs everywhere in the back herself haha.
what sort of issues were had on the defender ? You mentioned minor… curious

Crackling in Driver A Side Pillar Speaker with certain music which I believed fixed with OTA OS Update.
Instrument Cluster and Infotainment Screen Went out Once but never happened again.
Lastly, the Instrument Cluster Plastic Surround Trim on the Left Side is squeaky occasionally, even after the dealer looked at it.
That’s pretty much about it. Again nothing major and I’ve had a lot worse in other brands.

Had the ‘Wont Open with Button on Door Handle / Won’t Start with KeyFob in Car Unless using Bypass’ Problem, which with a reset and never occurred again…and then fix performed with 7 required parts months later as it was a TSB.

I think I may be holding onto my Defender longer than you. I joined the Ineos queue WAY too late. I'm now in a walking race between my Ineos and my Starlink! I signed up with Elon within 24 hours of opening and I am now waitlisted for most of another year. I would not be surprised at all if it got pushed for the fifth time....

Yeah it’s actually the King’s Colours, flag of Great Britain from 1707-1801, not the current UK Flag. Hence the license plate and all haha. Monarchist and all here so.
