Spare wheel removal

Not sure how you remove the holder ... but you're going to need a cover like this one afterwards to hide what's exposed:

There are some diagrams that may indicate how to remove the spare on that web page

Just curious ... what's the plan if you have a flat and no tire on the back?

I am living in city with tight parking space, and the dimension of the new Defender is not quite suitable for daily-use (considering 90% of time I will use it for daily commute), thought by removing the spare wheel would be a good idea, I know it will ruin the overall off-roading style of the vehicle, looks a bit weird with no tire mounted on back... but I just love the look of the new Defender so much and order it immediately without hesitation.

Excellent question. Once my Defender build went over $80K I went and test drove an SQ7. Would probably be in my garage if the Audi salesperson had an answer to that same question. SQ7 comes with regular tires (not run flats like the Q7) and has no spare tire. Not practical when traveling through rural VT on a cold winter evening.
