Towing with the ELECTRONIC ACTIVE DIFFERENTIAL

I was out and about towing 1500 lbs. with my P300 powered 110 yesterday and noticed something which may be useful to know, considering the recent blog chains regarding the locking rear differential.
When the trailer lights are connected, in addition to the trailer symbol flashing on the dashboard when the turn signals are used, the electronic active differential in the rear seems to be programmed to lock entirely at engine start, even on dry asphalt and on even a low (1 to 2%) incline. It seems to stay locked until the vehicle is turned or reaches a speed of ~ 15 mph or so. This is the only case where I have seen the rear diff lock before the center differential.
On another blog chain, Tartan concluded that "No off road package means no ediff" on any version but an X. It seems maybe an intent to tow can only be best obtained with the off-road package?

ADVAW8S:
In North America, to receive the rear locking differential (electronic active differential) in 2021, for a 110 it appears the only way to do so is to select and pay for the off-road package or order an X model. For the 90 model, there appear to be some other possibilities, but in each case, other than on an X model, a person needs to buy an off-road or electronic active differential, separately.
I do not think ordering a tow package brings with it the electronic active differential.
