thanks! Great suggestions & enjoy your ND! I looked up the company you mentioned: Sarek - the one in Virginia? I'm in Massachusetts. Does Sarek work with any JLR dealership?... Certainly if I could order a ND with a solid roof and 18" rims, I'd be interested. My existing LR is doing OK, so I'm in no rush, but that's what I want when it's time to get a ND. The very unique roof windows in the back let light in, so initially, I think they figured that's how light would enter the SUV and if you had the solid roof, those roof windows on the side would be great. But then they got busy and just stopped offering choice. I think the best I can hope is a mid model '24 year upgrade offers back the solid roof. I noticed the GX Over Trail is ONLY sold with a solid roof, so maybe Toyota is reading LR forums!! Two things LR forums seem to want is a smaller wheel rim and a solid roof. Presto! That's the only configuration on the GX, 18" rims and big tires + solid, functional roof. Oh well, I hope JLR gets back to customization before I end up at a Lexus dealership. I really love my existing LR, and the ND is great to drive. But i'm not spending all that $$$ to then have to deal with 19" rims and glass on top.

“Camping Mode” switch that turns off the computers and other battery-draining electronics so you can leave the doors open for extended periods of time without draining the battery.

Different seats. The flat bottom isn’t great imo.

A gear selector that will allow me to select the gear I want (or neutral) consistently regardless of the brake, door, engine running etc.

Yep. I really hate these "wiggle it and hope it understands what you want" shift levers. My wife had a Lexus RX 350 with a good old-fashioned shift lever. Move it a few degrees and it clicks into a new gear and shows you clearly what gear it's in. Want it in neutral for a car wash or flat tow? Put it in neutral with no uncertainty. Let's go back to these please.

Adjustable armrests. Had them on my LR4, D5 and they're still available on other models. It's a Land Rover staple and I'm upset they didn't make it to the L663. The center console armrest is just a little too low to be comfortable for me.

I always wonder why a Lexus GX550 or Land Cruiser can come with 18” (17”?) wheels standard. Don’t they weight just as much or close to a Defender? Dunno

Mine seems to have that, certainly with the rear door.

The Defender 90/110 can come with 18" wheels in the U.K.
Here's mine.

i'd love to see some lights, even small and unnoticable 99% of the time on the tailgate/door. For me, when opening that door on my 130 in a parking lot it often sticks out at least a little in traffic. At night in a dark parking lot i'm just waiting for someone not paying attention to clip that door and pin me (changing a baby) between the door and the body of the vehicle.

I rigged this up to use in particularly bad scenarios sparingly, but would love for there just to be a simple light that turns on whenever the rear door is opened.
