Default Windsor Leather / Upgraded Interior Package

Just curious if anyone is specing their new 2023 Defender with this option. Deciding between this and the acorn grained leather seat facings with lunar interior. Does anyone know if the windsor leather is really that much better to command a 2600 premium? Thanks!

I had Windsor on a Range Rover and yes it’s beautiful leather. But if you’re planning to actually use your defender the grain (which is much nicer and softer than in the past), is excellent especially if you’ve got kids and dog. Windsor made me fanatic, worry all the time, also gets wrinkled and requires constant love. The grain, really worry free per se.

It’s definitely worth $2600 from a value perspective.

It basically brings my build up from ~71 to 74k. I was really hoping to stay below 70k on my build but this is Land Rover after all. I just wish I could get myself to like the Bronco Sport for 40k, sigh...

This is my third Land Rover with Windsor leather. My 05 RRS HSE had 208K miles, my 13 LR4. HSE Lux 225K miles when I sold them. The seats on both looked near new - and I never even used conditioners on them, just tried keeping them clean. Can't compare it to grained leather, but I'm a huge fan and will always pick Windsor leather if it's still offered in future vehicles. It is very supple, strong and near indestructible in my experience.

the bronco sport is total crap......drop down to the S model if you want to keep the expense down....

I ended up going higher and higher in the build and now im getting seat covers to keep it all nice anyway (my kids are hard on everything).

Honestly at this point costs are pretty negligible between Defender models. I optioned out the V4 fully loaded and it came out to 68k. The fully loaded 6 cylinder is 74k. Considering I've had my 911 for 6 years and plan on keeping it forever, what's 6k in the long run? I guess my point is that I wish I could be just as happy with a cheaper SUV but I don't think I can.

Not sure what your build is but I’d put the money into capabilities first, luxury second. Maybe that’ll help?
