Default '01 Disco LE Build

Hi guys! I've been a lurker for awhile and finally pulled the trigger on buying my first Disco. I found an '01 LE with 90K and in great shape... Thought it was better to spend a few extra dollars to start with something in good shape!

A few things to start...

1. Any reputable Land Rover Mechanics in East Tennessee recommendations?
2. I know I want to lift it, but I think I want to do the whole kit to make sure the ride quality stays high... Recommendations?
3. Any local Rovers in East Tennessee?

Thanks, and let the build thread begin!

Looks like a nice start for a project build. Looking forward to following along.

Found out the hard way today that the guy I bought the rover from had replaced the driver side CV axle... Problem is, he forgot to put the nut back on the steering linkage to the tire! Talk about butt puckering! Did some roadside "mechanicing" using some bailing rope I found in order to limp to the local autoparts to pick up a castle nut!

#2 just became priority on my list! Can anyone recommend a proper lift kit (just want to house some mean 33's) (2.5" maybe?) along with new steering componentry? Would rather do the whole thing while Im under there!

Thanks in Advance!

Update! Just got in all my suspension and steering components, driveshaft, fender flares, etc... Ready to be installed and get new rubber on it! I think I am going to go with BFG AT K\O 265/75/R16 since Ive always had good luck with them.. Vehicle has 91K on it so I think I am going to go ahead and do all new rotors and pads all the way around (fronts are showing some good grooves)... Any suggestions to point me in the right direction... Big difference in $200 and $600. I'm definitely not for going cheap but don't wont to spend more then I have to.

TIA

I'm going with EBC when I do my brakes, I've always had good luck with their products.

Edit: This is the kit I'm planning on doing

I saw that and figured someone payed a upholsterer to re-do the interior.

Nope, not a re-upholster. That was an option. And not so easy to find either. There was a 'wanted' thread in the classified section looking for that interior.

Really liked the interior... One of the things that drew me to the ride as well as the body condition. Im finding out thought that a Disco from up north can have some fun underneath to deal with!
