no the voltage jumping up that much for a item that shouldn't have been drawing power

Both windshields are cracked in my 03 and my wife's, right at the bottom, right along the tops of the wipers, basically...and they both still heat up. I would think just being cracked wouldn't affect the heat element, it's inside the laminant sheet of plastic between the two pieces of glass. Now, if there was a hole punched through at some point of impact...maybe then that could dqmage the element.
Looks like a nice way to go get eggs. Brian. |
And yes...nothing worse than a simple job that turns into a much larger job...on account of something done inadvertantly.

Safelite did my windshield for $230! And they came to me! Also it’s got the heating element and all that, super happy with it as well |
$230 with heat and they came to your vehicle? |

Mine was a tad over two bills with no heat and I drove it in to their shop. Safelite. |
Hmmm.. well good to know what to expect money wise when the time comes. Knowing my luck, I’ll get it replaced and it’ll get cracked the next day from a rock from space or something :dunno: |
