Sid the '93 RRC
At last, Sid’s build thread…
This is pretty past-due, but here I am. I’ve been itching to get this started.
First, a little bit about myself and the rig. I live in the beautiful state of Utah – a Land Rover’s dream home – with my 2001 Discovery, my 1993 RRC LWB, and my husky. When I’m not being a lady of STEM and studying astronomy, I’m an old-school-cars-fanatic.
On February 7th, I became the happiest girl in the world; I brought home a 1993 Range Rover Classic LWB. A local shop was selling it for $500 due to a blown head gasket. Along with that, it needs a new battery, the rear left window either has a broken regulator, motor, or ECU, and lots of minor (though plentiful) interior work.
The kid who owned it before me trashed the poor thing. When I picked it up, it took me two days to get the wrappers, plastic spoons, Pall Mall cartons, and other trash out. I took some leather cleaner and carpet cleaner to it and it’s like an entirely different vehicle – it changed colors!
He needs a new paint job and new bumpers (and of course, a fixed engine) but he was a total steal and I could not be happier or more excited.
More photos and updates soon to come.
Best,
Elise
