The Trover is here, part truck all rover....
The BB1 story continues... here is the previous shenanigans
https://landroverforums.com/forum/bu...-begins-70129/ Now BB1 is a Trover... a rover turned truck...;) Funny thing is they both have a three inch lift and one of them is taller... however the Trover does need to have the sway bars removed. as far as i can tell the Trover is BB1 just as a truck conversion so its triple locked and head studded engine (will need to verify diffs) https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/landrov...f740912bbf.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/landrov...905d3f2b33.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/landrov...980982ede9.jpg |
That looks like it could be a great start to an in-bed camper!

That is cool
More pics please |
i cant tell from the picture but do you still have access to the top of the Fuel pump assembly?

Looks like he used the rear quarter panel from opposite sides to make up the front portion of the rear wheel-wells, since the rear wheel-well is part of the rear door. Like the way he incorporated the rear barn door for the rear window.

I like it! Putting the rear wiper back on the back window would be funny with the squirter. You won't see any 2018 pickups with a rear wiper/squirter! Slap some LED D90/110 park/turn/reverse lights on the back and make a good old fashioned drop tail gate or tube gate and call it a day.
I would sign up to have one of my D2's converted in the exact same fashion. I really could use one of my D2's to be a pickup! That thing painted, OEM roof rack rails totally removed, maybe a custom tube cage on the cab (like the 94 D90), a little body work to the back of the cab (to smooth it out where the door is), and I think it would look really really nice. |
Here is where we are at on day 1 of the Trover. I have gotten it to move on its own however i am getting misfires from an entire coil pack bank so that's priority number 1.
The critters who had made the Trover their home chewed through some of the ABS pump wires so that is going to be fun. Ill get some video of todays triumph. If i can get the rover running smooth ill be taking it to SCARR, but right now its back to the basics. |

I would like to learn how to make a cage and make it happen but i might buy a Jeep JK exo cage and mod from there. I do need to finish some details on the doors as i can see where rain can get into the cab. |

Day 2 of the Trover saga, i used the endoscope to check the rear and front diffs for the true tracs.... and they are there! Also double verified the Tom Woods front driveshaft and removed the remainder roof rails
Below is the video of the rear true trac. https://imgur.com/4zV9tNQ |
