Default Afraid of getting a 96 110. How old is old?

Hey guys,

first thread in the defender area.

I own a 2003 d2a td5 and found a good deal on a 110 year 96 (340.000km on the clock)... Since I want to keep this defender for a VERY long time, I'm afraid I'm getting a vehicle that won't stand the time... Does my concern make sense? How old is old for a Defender?

Thanks

My 110 is a 1983 and still going. There isn't a part you can't buy for these to keep them going.

there is also the possibility that the 110 frame will out last the dII anyway

my 109 is from 76 - but the frame is unhappy. I find it not really usable as a daily driver w/o the convenience of anti-lock brakes and more power. The stock 4cyl is way under powered. The beauty though is that these machines will run for a very LONG time.
