I'm thinking of purchasing a classic Defender from the Alpine Element in NJ. Anyone had experience with them or their cars. I know they import restored Defenders from Turkey and across Europe.

Go over to defendersource.com and ask there. Much more defender knowledge over there, especially all regions of the lower 48 and Canada.
