Default 1995 Discovery 1 Distributor Replacement Part

My distributor needs replacing. I am pretty sure its Part number ERR4738, but I haven't been able to find any confirmation.

Does anyone have any further clarity on the proper replacement part?

Thank you very much.

If I needed a new distributor, I would probably shop for an aftermarket brand in the UK, there are lots. A genuine part is good if you want to stay stock.

I just want to make sure I'm buying the right part number. There are a LOT of part numbers that are for distributors with a 3.9 petrol engine.

Don't bother with getting a Lucas 35 Dizzy go with this one instead. You will no longer need the Lucas Amplifier (common weak point with any 3.5/3.9/4.2L). Just run the + & - wires to the coil and call it a day.

Interesting. Thanks for the information. Someone said in the comments to also get the coil. Is that this?
