1s 96 owners manual & gas cap same as 98?
I thought it would be nice to have an owner's manual and a fellow has a 96 version. Is it essentially the same as a 98? Or are there differences.
Also, is there a difference between an AEL gas cap and one from a non AEL Disco? if so, how can I identify which one? (I suspect the gas cap he has come from the same Disco as the owner's manual and I think 96 was non-AEL)

Yep, wrong cap would poop the CEL cuz in a 98 there's a tank pressure sensor that is a part of the AEL and it would purge to the intake or charcoal can (storage) when high.
I'm using a vented cap. I'm not sure having the gas tank sucked in to the size of a beer can, quickly loosing throttle because my newly induced vacuum overtakes the pump, is the proper way I should be driving my Disco-bomb-hoopty.....
