Exclamation All Texas car/truck owners, must see this thread.

If you car/truck fails the emissions part of the state inspection go to this website

AirCheckTexas - Drive A Clean Machine :: H-GAC

See applicaitons to the right of the page. Apply and fax info requested.

State gives you $600 for repairs.

Rover has check engine light on let state fix it.

I know exactly what you mean. It's like that on the Indian reservations around here. I drive through there and wonder how most of the cars are still going.

There are a ton of messed up cars around here too.
The state does it for revenue, if they really cared then there would not be any inspection sites that pass cars even when they fail (forum members post about that all the time, "just go to xyz inspection and you'll pass") first time they were reported they'd be out of business.
They cant raise taxes so they bring in revenue other ways, but its not a "tax".
I cant help you with the failed post, I'm not longer a mod.
My mod status was pulled for not blindly following the "leader".
