Default Already Impressed

Last night I picked up a decent 96 and after posting in the intro area, was advised to come poke around. I went through the sticky at the top and found 20+ links to answer questions I had or things I was curious about.

I do have afew questions not mentioned. Is there a key trick or something else to pull the CEL codes? I know on old OBDI fords, you could use a paperclip to jump two of the pins on the diagnostic ports and flash the CEL for the codes. On my Jeep, I can flick the key 5 times in 3 seconds to get the digital odo to display the cel codes.

Anything like that for the rover?

Also, does anyone have any links to the grease for the swivel joints? I read somewhere you can buy measured pouches for them.

Welcome! '96 and newer were OBDII which means any code reader will plug right in and read/clear codes.
Here's the swivel grease, it's often referred to as One Shot. Swivel Housing Grease - 370GM Bottle (STC3435 Same Fit As Part # STC3435 ) - Land Rover swivel ***** & parts from Atlantic British
Really it's just 00 grease that you can get from a lawnmower store. Or mix a tube of grease with some gear oil. Or some people just use straight grease or straight gear oil.
Land Rover Parts and Accessories from RovahFarm is a good place for good prices on Rovers parts, though a little difficult to navigate.
