Anti Lock light?
Hey guys, Just wondering why an Anti-Lock light would be staying on all the time? It came on after Big O did my wheel bearings :rolls eyes: sometimes it will shut off and my brakes will act like im slipping, The brake will fight back with me for the first half of the brake... Then goes normally during the first half i have no brakes which is kinda dangerous. Could it just need reset? Any help is always appreciated! thank you guys!
Those guys screwed up your ABS wheel sensors when they did your wheel bearings.
Take it back and let them know and have them double check that the sensors are seated correctly and that they are clean.

Oh no im never taking my Rover back to them, They ended up messing so much s*** up they had to pay me. If its a wheel sensor... How difficult is swapping one of them out? How can i check if they are good? Il have to RAVE manual it.
In the tech section there is a write up on how to read the ABS trouble codes.
Once that is done you will have a better idea of what it wrong.
As for how hard is it to replace the wheel sensor?
Easy, just costly.

I disabled the ABS on my 97 Disco I years ago. Now the brakes work a lot better, plus the pads and rotors last at least twice as long.
I still get a solid "check engine" light and "Rough Road" fault code every once in a while, which is most likely related to one of the ABS sensors that are still mounted. My solution was to keep a code reader in the glove box and clear the code when it pops up. I check that it's not something else, first, of course. Some day I'm going to finish the job and rip out all the remaining ABS bits and replumb the brake lines.

Pull you're front wheels, the abs sensor sticks straight up and down right in the middle of the spindle. Cant miss it, it's the only thing with a wire on it. Lightly tap down on them. If they are not seated all the way down, they will throw a code. And you can't push them too far down.
After you seat them reset your light by using the blink method. See attatched. It says 1996 but will work for yours and you don't have to pay the dealer to reset the light for you. Then drive it and see if the light comes back. If it does you can figure out which sensor it is using the blink method. You have to jumper the pins on your OBD 2 connector that is mounted under the dash. It's easy and doesn't cost anything.
