Once I lowered the axle I stepped on the hub and compressed the spring. I found if you remove the bottom retaining plate and put that in AFTER you have the spring in place it is MUCH easier. The driver side was a PITA and it looks like the coil went through hell and back but the passenger side went in with little resistance and minor scratch or two. So the lift is installed just waiting on my tires. I guess I can tackle the water pump tomorrow. If I don't have a gasket can I just use a gasket maker or should I source a gasket from somewhere?
get a gasket.....

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be like this

Reason being the shock leans depending on where the suspension is in travel, the curved washer allows it to flex without the bushing being totally crushed on one side, that bushing will only squish so much before it blows out or the shock bends

The washers are designed to cup the bushings.

True. That is also the stock configuration.

However, the bushings will push the washers inside-out. They're not strong enough.

Are the stock washers thicker/better such that they could be reused? I ask because 1) I have not messed with mine to know the application specifically and 2) in my other car world (BMW) a well known parts supplier supplies "upgraded" bushings with **** washers that end up bending/failing, the solution is to reuse stock which are very robust.

Cheers.

That's a bunch of garbage right there. I'd be on the horn with somebody. What brand shocks?

TF. Just noticed it after inspecting. Pro-sport shocks seem to be holding up well, but the hardware not so much. I'd be on the horn, but I leave the country for two weeks tomorrow.
