cheaper 8mm ignition wires

I'm not crazy about paying $90 for wires. Half that is more reasonable. Anyone have experience with these Kingsborne wire sets?

Land Rover Ignition Spark Plug Wire Set - Discovery Series I w/GEMS Distributor-less Ignition | Land Rover Wires

Something is killing my wires! I just replaced wires several weeks ago and already having misfires again. As per the PO, the coil packs were replaced 2 years ago.

No misfire codes, but I can feel the misfiring when under load...

The Kingsbourne are good. What plugs are you running? Many swear by the Champion Coppers.

And.. misfires may not be plugs or wires but also other fine things, like coolant leak, bent reluctor disk tab, etc.

fish- thanks for your input! I am running cheap Bosch plugs right now..

Buzz- what the heck is a reluctor disk tab???

Sorry, I'm running Autolite coppers.. Bosch is what I had in it before replacing wires few weeks ago.

And I have also noticed lately when truck is hot, it runs a little rough when I start it up. I suppose I will tackle the ckp next... and Buzz, I also just noticed I am in fact losing coolant from heater hoses. I will replace those asap.

I have zero issues with Kingsbourn wires and champion coppers

bosch wires work great for me

Thanks guys! I ordered the Kingsbourn wire set... so hopefully I will have finally ended this runaround nonsense using OEM 7mm wires!

So just out of curiosity, if I'm having misfires (which just got worse this morning on way home from work), why isn't ultra gauge not throwing codes??

I don't feel the vibrations until I get above ~20 mph.. and it's noticeably worse when under load between 1800 ~ 2800 rpms... let off the gas and it seems to be gone. I can gun it with no problems. Sitting in driveway in neutral, rev up the motor, but no distinguishable vibrations.

At this point I'm not sure it is misfiring, especially in the absence of pending/trouble codes...

Thoughts?

put in good plugs also not the cheap $1.09 ones,I can' remember if I used the expensive Bosch or NGK platinum or irridiums

i had a tap and miss it was a rocker arm tip broke off

cupgt- I have never had good luck with champions in any car, when I was a dealer tech usualy found them to be the root of various drivability problems, even in lawnmowers glad to see there are some people that can get em to work reliably :)
