Lightbulb D1 soft top????

I have a 97' Disco I and thoughts of making it a soft top have been coming to mind. Anyone done this before and any professional opinions/thoughts???

People have done it. Few look good, IMO.

There was a super clean disco on CL near me. The catch was a tree fell on the roof. I thought of just chopping off the roof but couldn't find a clean looking homemade soft top. I say go for it.

Long ago there was a YouTube video floating around of some guys in one. It looked a little odd, but to each his own I guess

There is a guy local named Scott who has a really built up Disco. His was featured in a magazine some place. Anyway he made it a soft top. I think it looks cool. I posted pics of it awhile ago.

I've only seen two non-buggy ones in person one was a DI by a guy named Robbie in VA I think and the other is a DII that used to be up in VA but is now owned by Luke at The Shop in GA. Both are very clean looking and nicely done.

An example of a nice one on Discoweb

I wouldn't mind having this. No more issues with window regulators, or leaky sunroof.

British4x4 Centre in San Antonio had some pics on their site of one they did for a customer.

Bottom row, far right on the web page link below is a D1 soft top pictured.
