Default D2 Dash in D1?

From all my research so far it looks like the D2 dash fits in a D1 for the most part, minus some electrical connectors. I'm trying to confirm this before purchasing a nice dash I've sourced. Thanks.

^^Yes^^ I would think you could potentially splice into the connecters (wire wise). As far as climate control, radio ect I don't know if that works?

For all practical purposes, the dashes are identical. I don't get it, what are you hoping to achieve?

Thanks. Have you guys seen anyone do it? I've searched around and haven't.

My dash and center console have seen better days and I really like the black dash, console, and airbag cover of the D2s. I can keep any D1 electric components whose D2 component wont work.

Find a black dash and center console off a '95 Range Rover Classic. Then you'd really be different.

Don't you work at a door factory? CNC a real wooden dash and console then you would have a really cool looking rig. Make it from one solid piece of wood.

That would certainly be unique and I think finely crafted wood in homes is excellent, but I'm not such a fan of wood in vehicles. In fact I'd really like to replace the dried out wood trim with brushed nickel.

Brushed stainless......

It's hard to find a 95 RR let alone one with a black dash. One was driven into a bone yard, it was being parted out. Too far away for me to rescue but I sure have the ambition. Sad. There is a Hunter nearby and I'm thinking it has my name on it.

With a 95 RR's dash you'd get an analog clock, now there's a bonus.

You can have my dash if you come down and help me fit a Range Rover Sport dash in my DII. :P
