Default Disco 1 Lift Kit

Looking into getting a 2-3" lift kit for my 98 discovery. I have a few questions

1. any modifications to driveshafts needed
2. any mods to steering needed
3. most kits just look like they come with springs and shocks, i am just curious if anything else needs to be upgraded.

Thanks All

You should be good to go with the shocks and springs. I went with the TerraFirma 2inch kit sold by British Atlantic when I got my 96 D1. The PO had 1inch spring spacers in place that I left on, 4yrs later and everything has been fine. I also replaced the steering damper just to be on the safe side since I didn't know the condition of the installed on.

You have options betweens full length springs and different spacer sizes, heavy/medium/light weight springs etc.

Have a grease fitted driveshaft is a must too.

im definitely going with springs and shocks. I just wanted to make sure non of the other drive line needed to be upgraded. im pretty sure that i have greasable drive shafts. i was more or less curious about the steering geometry and driveshaft angle.
Thanks

You should be good to go!
Anything about 4 to inches and you'll need an additional parts configuration.
Pay attention to the springs as they will be labeled front and rear. And the driver side spring will be a bit different than the passenger side.

Sounds cool.
Take some images before and after.

i have got a set of 2" springs delivered today.

What is a decent entry level shock to get for the land rover? It is not daily driven by no means so i am looking for something cheap.

Pro Comp ES9000 for a D1 are about as cheap as I'd go. I personally think they aren't that bad for the $$$. Then TF shocks would be second.

Pro-Comp ES9000 for sure.

RN sells a set of 4 with boots for $239.00 (PCS9030) > https://www.roversnorth.com/parts/pc...overy_i&type=3

The way better deal is at 4wheelparts.com for $175.14 (with shipping) for the EXACT SAME set up.

You can also order these from SUMMIT Racing and they will match the 4WP price. Sometimes a better option because Summit ships crazy fast.

For 2" lift:

FRONT: # 922560
REAR: # 922573
BOOTS: # 12127 (for BLACK they come in many colors)
