The muffler I bought is also stainless steel but not polished. I bought it because it was less expensive than the universal muffler I could have bought from my brother's garage.

If you rip off your muffler whiler off-roading you probably broke something else before, it's nicely placed between frame rails.

As for the HP, not sure it gives more, it gave my truck a slightly better throttle response.

CATALYTIC CONVERTER 96 to 97 VA546029/VA714241 -
ALL STAINLESS
FM0053DIS $595.00

EXHAUST PIPES CONVERTER - BACK SYSTEM NTC7426 $269.95

This is what I have been eyeballing at DAP - Cat is a bit higher than I like but the catback kit includes muffler and resonator and all pipes and hardware like stock, it seems to me the other ones all go single muffler and I want it to be quiet.

I'm sure if you find a good independent shop, for $150 you could have a decent cat back put on no matter the type(loud or quiet).

How do you guys know what sized muffler to buy and how are you hanging your new exhaust?

For example...

Which one fits? Length and width etc.
The muffler on our trucks is huge.

I checked which muffler Magnaflow used in their cat back for my truck and I bought only the muffler.

I friend of mine welded it in place for me.

Jull, do you remember the part number for the muffler so I can cross reference it?
I will try and look it up, but if you know it off the top of your head...
