Default Floorpan Stupid Question

Hey everyone, I am replacing the floorpans due to rust and have a bit of a stupid question about the passenger side (NAS) since I dont have another D1 to compare it to. Is my floor supposed to have a hump in it? Or is it supposed to be flat from the transmission hump to the doorsill? Mine seems to have this weird hump that looks like it isnt factory, it looks more like it landed on a rock or someone sledgehammered the bottom of it. I just want to know before I cut it all out and make it flat if there is a reason for this.

Don't recall seeing any humps in mine, maybe the result of a front driveshaft leting loose? Both my D1 seem flat if that helps.

Thanks a lot! Thats all i needed to know. I ordered some repair panels but ill have to cut out some extra to make that area all flat. I dont have a good picture of it but it looks like someone smashed under the floor with a sledge hammer, or youre right and the driveshaft let go. It is a greasable driveshaft (which I dont think they came with) so thats a possibility.

Mine was making a bunch of noise when I would start out, when I got home, I found the joint destroyed and it was stuck inthe yoke. Lucky I made it home before it came out alltogether. Gets greased every 6 months and after trail rides now.

Thats definitely a bummer. Ive never really had to grease parts on a truck before, I do my quad after every ride, so I will probably do it after every time I wheel in sand or water. Thanks for your help!

The upper joints are quite close to the exhaust and get hot, baking out the grease so they need a little extra care.
