Fuel Tank fill vent hose

Friends,

I am repairing Fuel Tank Fill Vent hose in my 95 Discovery I W/O EVAPORATIVE LOSS.

I do not have the budget to spend the 55.00 dollars for the oem part. Does any one know the inside diameter of the hose?

Please advice,

G.

or do what I do....don't fill it all the way up I stop the pump at 18 gallons, much easier than replacing hose

3/4 in id, few places have this large size , carquest usually stocks it.. on mine i ended up using a 3/4in coolant splice and replacing half the hose the full length was about 30$

Hello Nuclear,

Thanks for the size info. I will get the hose from a local supplier. He sells by the foot. He quoted me 3.70/feet I will get two feet and use a metal adapter with clamps instead of dropping the tank.

Thanks,
G.

I got some chemical safe 3/4" hose off eBay... I don't want to have to replace that hose ever again so I got a type that is highly resistant to most all chemicals... It was much like this stuff...
Hydraulic Suction Hose Gas Diesel Fuel 3 4" per Ft | eBay

Thanks for the info.

The omg hose is so expensive that is criminal. My supplier will sell me the same hose for less than 15 dollars. The reason for failure in my truck was due to the bad clamp used at the factory.

The hose is only $6 per foot... 3 feet of it would only be $18...

.

Don't be cheap and lazy. Do the whole thing. It's not a matter of IF the hose will fail on the tank side; it's a matter of when.

I'll even send you the 4 bucks.
