Default Grey (Gray?) interior more rare than 5-speed?

Ive been looking at these things for 20 years and it would appear to be the case. Before spending time in New Zealand the only place id seen a grey interior in the wild was on the VHS tape that came with my 96 when new. any insight?
also, Which colors beside Altai Silver would sport the non bahama beige insides? White or light red perhaps....?

97-99 d1? I saw one in a local salvage yard that had a color that was different than my tan and it was in great shape. but I cannot swear it was grey. I do know it was a lighter color than mine but unless you were seeing a light grey ... i cant be sure

I almost bought a silver D1 with the grey leather interior back in 99..er maybe it was 2000. Ended up passing because of frame rust, it was a Northern truck. I have only seen a handful since then and one was parked with flat tires. The other was a few years back on craigslist. Certainly a rare color combo for sure.

Right, the GEMS d1s, Every single one is beige it seems and I'm realizing that those interior trim bits are not easy to source. Probably someone like Will Tillery or another whose seen and taken apart loads has a better idea exactly how scarce they are.

I'm going to need a grey manual trans console in the future and the lightbulb just flashed over my head that I'm screwed, thats going to be an unobtanium part for all practical purposes.

I have a 96 that was silver with a grey interior. I repainted it because the paint was fading.

97 Altai Silver SD...... problem with grey is it's difficult to easily find bits in grey. 96 and early 97 SD's it was a fairly common base option color.
