I started on my headliner today. Removed the front visors, etc. but wanted to review this thread again before proceeding. I have the sun roofs and A/C on mine. This thread is very helpful and I appreciate everyone sharing their experiences, hints and suggestions.
Thanks everyone.

Late update, sorry: I took my headliner out, cleaned best I could. Instead of replacing it, I painted mine. Not as nice as a fabric liner, but it's nice. I did not want to do this again in a couple of years. Even got my rear sun roof to open again. The motor had been wet a few times. Checked everything else out while the liner was off.

FYI on my 97" w/ dual sun roof, you have to pop out the rear sun roof button and use a phillips head to unscrew a mount that is holding the headliner to the roof.

Great DYI!

Default Thank you WALTNYC

I started removing the headliner, the front went well, I'm stuck now with how to remove seat belts and the back where the sunroofs are...I think I made a mistake.

Just removed my headliner shell per the great instructions above. 2 questions.
1.While attempting to remove the nuts for the rear cargo net frame (on back side of headliner shell) they all just snapped off after little to no effort, or just spun on the plastic post. Is there a trick to not destroying there tabs?
2. Need a new rear PS overhead cargo net frame as mine no longer has tabs. Does anyone have a source for these? (I've tried ebay/amazon/Atlantic British)
Thanks!
