Default HELP! Driver's Door frozen shut!

So I left work and was able to open my door fine but it took a few tries to get it to stay shut. So when I got home, I drive opening it and neither the interior nor exterior handle felt like it was attached to anything. Didn't make a difference if I had the door locked or not. Climbed out the window that was fun

I tried locking and unlocking it from the key and still nothing. All other doors open and close no problem.

What to do to fix?

Thanks!

DOH!!!
Sounds like the spring inside the door that is attached top the handle broke.
This is common, the spring is cheap but you have to take the interior door panel off to get to it.
Why didnt you just climb out the passenger side?

That involves climbing over the entire center console and very tall shifter.

How I open the door now to get the panel off?

I realize you would have to climb over the center console but then at least your window would be up and I think that would be easier than climbing out the window.

You need to remove the interior door panel to get the door open.
There are screws that hold the pull bar on, remove those, you can then pry back the panel and reach the door latch and pull it with needle nose pliers.
Then once the door is open you can remove the panel the rest of the way.

I took the pull bar off and the bezel to the interior door handle. The panel has VERy little give. What do I do now/

It seems if I pry the panel I'm going to just break right through it.

Both my front doors wont open when it is extremely cold. I have been just climbing through the back seat and opening them with the interior door handle. Does that sound like the spring Spike or just a sticky latch/handle mechanism?

Happens to me all the time now because of the weather, I hold the hand open and lean backwards on my heels. I think it's because the seals on the door that are supposed to keep the inclement weather out get stuck against the metal. Something along those lines. Bottom line, pull the handle out and lean backwards like you are trying to pull the door out and the handle is your only..well handle. Tell me how that goes

First thing I'd try is cleaning and lubing the mechanism. It may take a few days of spraying lube to get it to work again. If that doesn't fix the issue, then pull the door apart and inspect for worn/broken parts.

Oh, and petroleum based lubes get thicker as the temperature drops. So try to use silicon or graphite or other non-petro based lubes if you live where it gets cold.
