Default Ignition problem, or maybe clutch? HELP!

Hi everyone. I’ve had one hell of a time trying to fix my ignition system on my Discovery 1. I’ve replaced the ignition coil wires and the distributor. Coil and wires are by Mallory and the distributor is a parallax distributor. The engin is perfectly timed. However whenever I shift into gear and put load on the system, the truck sputters and jolts. But with the regular bosh coil this was not a problem. However the stock bosh coil would burn up after driving for a short distance. Do I need better spark plug wires or maybe a clutch issue?

new k&n air filter and there is pressure in the fuel line just an FYI

check with your distributor manufacturer....ask them what coil they reccommend ....not all 12v coils are the same...you may need one with more OR less resistance than what you have now

Try it without the K&N. Maybe it's restricting too much air flow.
Never understood why people run those....
