Improving stopping.

I just flushed all my brake fluid, it was black. I have found my truck stops fine, but sometimes when I need that little extra OH SH!@ Nothing changes.
Im hoping the brake fluid helps. But I wouldn't mind getting some new pads. Can anyone reccomend any pads? Id like some type of performance or increased braking as Im getting larger tires soon. I dont care if they wear fast.

I have been driving professionally for 20 yrs and I have been 100% accident and ticket free for the last 10.
Driving slower and anticipating stops is the reason for that.
It can be done.
Thurs I was pulling over to make a delivery, put on the hazards and pulled onto the shoulder, the minivan behind me was not paying attention.
I anticipated this and left my van in drive as I watched her in the mirror get closer and closer.
As she slammed on her brakes and was to close to stop I hit the gas and pulled ahead.
Accident avoided because I anticipated the person behind me be being a idiot.
It can be done, you have to be smarter than the other idiots.
And Danny, I know what you mean about people shooting in and out of traffic and cutting you off.
The only thing to do is stay in the far right lane (they can only come at you from the left that way, and your right side is a bigger blind spot anyway so this reduces the chance of a accident) and leave as much space as you can between you and the car in front of you.

Brembo blank rotor for the front of a D90 fits 94-97, 90-95 RRC and a 99 Discovery. Going to guess it's a D2.

Will they bolt on to a D1?
Garrett, your sources may be looking at rear brakes. According to Atlantic British site the rears are the same, but fronts are different. 4 pot calipers instead of 2 & vented rotors.
