So I'm heading over to the dark side most likely tommorrow when I do the switch to the 03. My 98 is being sold for 3000$ and I'll probably get the 03 for 1000.

It does need work though, I'll try my best do do a writeup on every mod I do this time..

Have a question, why D1 arms, they are far weaker then D2 arms. Why a D1 t/case that has a zillion miles on it and is so out dated to the current 03 case that you can add a CDL nose and shifter to?
Don't forget to rebuild the front drive shaft.

Front drive shaft rebuild. Can I do that myself? I have done u joints before not sure what the d2 uses

 

I did the D1 wipers arms... the cheap kit from rovers north (it even comes with some super cheap crappy wiper blades). I keep forgetting to buy a new rear arm.... but it already scratched the glass before I got the car, so no big deal.

I did the u-joints and centering ball on my front drive shaft. It sucked. A friend had to weld a bolt on so we could remove the centering ball, none of the other methods I saw worked for me.

What is this round gas door you speak of?
