Ha Ha.. So here is my handywork with the hangers. What do you think?

I used a gallon laundry detergent bottle to hold up the muffler while I used pliers to twist the hangers together under the muffler and around the frame on each side. I drove about 30 miles per hour with my emergency lights on until I got to the muffler shop. :disco:

I had to use that orange bottle cleaner on my hands and elbows and arms and fingernails at the muffler shop to de-grease myself too lol.

The break was too close to the muffler to weld so they put on a new muffler and welded it for $100 parts and labor. Truck sounds great so I'm a happy camper for now until I have to deal with the 101 other issues..

GoJo.....

Congratulations funky Cole medina, your one of the guys. You did an exceptional job and pulled it off without a hitch........ simply perfect!

May I suggest that if this isn't going to be your only foray to the underside of your vehicle that you buy some disposable rubber gloves and wear an old long sleeve shirt in the future? (Something that does not require dry cleaning)....

Very proud of you....... really. I know your a girly girl but one with grit and git.

What did the guys at the muffler shop think of your muffler hanger hammock?

Thanks! Yeah I actually do have gloves but I was so focused on getting it done that all I did was cut open up a dry cleaning plastic bag and put it under the truck and half the time I don't think I even stayed on it. I tucked my hair inside my shirt and went for it.

The guys at the muffler shop played it cool actually. I took the picture once they put it on the lift. They said it was a good job as they cut the hanger wires off but that's about it. I knew they were impressed though because as I drove off I saw them talking to other guys and they were looking back at my truck smiling..

The truck has more power now and is super quiet. It's almost gliding. I can't believe it..
