Default My disco 1 is turning over but not starting!

I was headed to the beach and I got about 20 feet from my house and the car died out. It still turns over but won’t start. The oil lamp genie gauge is on but all the fluids are level. I’m thinking it’s a sensor? Help me!

This. Not all D1s are cut from the same cloth. Some have distributors, and some have crank position sensors.

It’s a 1997 landrover disco 1 with the 4 liter engine on it.

could be the crankshaft position sensor, or the computer lost it's communications. See if the Check engine light goes on when you crank the engine. If it doesn't, suspect the computer.

Check the smaller plug on the ECU under the hood closer to the firewall. Unplug the 3 plugs on the ECU and snap them back in then check if it starts.

when I turn they key and the engine turns over the check engine light doesn’t come on it shows the oil light though. All the fluids are full though

If you arent seeing the check engine go on with the key then it wont start. ECU either isnt getting power or the immobilizer isnt sending the signal its looking for

i dont know what unplugging the ecu will do in the above post. I would skip that suggestion
