New electrical problem
So my Disco sat for most of the weekend, drove it once on Saturday night to dinner, about a 5 mile roundtrip. All was good, went out this morning and the battery was dead. Gave it a jump and back in action. The battery and alt are both new, replaced less than a month ago so I know thats not my issue. What I have noticed is that when I park it and pull the key from the ignition, is that I still have power to the windows, sun roofs and the a/c. Im thinking there is a short or something in the ignition or is this normal. Just trying to figure out what is drawing power from the battery all the time. Any ideas?

I do not think that is normal. I do know the key switch tends to wear badly in these. You may have an issue in the switch there in the steering column.

You may want to rmove the plastic cover and take a look at it. I would suggest a good contact cleaner spray like CRC to see if that helps.
Those are rather expensive parts to buy new.
With mine, the original key was severely worn and I had some problems until I opened it up sprayed it good, got new key made and I develop the "Touch" . I seat the key, turn it to the first position, push it in slightly, then turn to position , then turn to position 3 to start.
If you jam it in and try to force it, it will hang up. I do not let just anyone start it either. Finesse it, it works, try to force it, it will hang and you can break the key or mess up the switch.
