No pressure in reservoir tank?

Default No pressure in reservoir tank?

has anyone had this issue? When I loosen the cap hot there is no pressure. The truck is running cool though. Also I noticed the water pump pulley is wobbling when the thermostat is closed. When it opens, it straightens out. Also when I start it I think there is a bearing rolling, I hear a few chirps come from the pump. The pump is not leaking anything though and neither are the hoses. I ordered a new reservoir cap to see if that could be it. Also a few days ago I went to the Honda shop and the hose that connects to the reservoir was loose and dumped a bunch of antifreeze. We tightened it up and now it isn't leaking. The antifreeze is hot in the reservoir as well so it has to be circulating?

Ideas for no pressure other than the cap???

Remove the belt and check for play in the water pump. If that bearing fails while driving you will have fan blades flying into your radiator.

There is definitely play, I can wiggle it with a screwdriver with the belt on.

I would change that water pump before you do anything else.

As for the lack of pressure in the cooling system, are you loosing any collant at all? My expansion tank had a pinhole size leak in the seam and it wasn't visually leaking out, it was slowly evaporating out. I never experienced a lack of pressure though.

Yeah that's what's crazy. I think I have a pinhole leak because I loose coolant over months but no drips or smells, and none in oil. I ordered new hoses and water pump, she's parked until that goes on.
