Default Noise when slowly letting off accelerator

A few days ago my wife was driving and said that there was a loud grinding/whining noise when she slowly let off the accelerator. It lasted that whole morning while she was driving and when she got home I drove it and by this time the noise had quieted down but was still there. It could almost be mistaken as road noise if you didnt know to listen for it. Sound like its coming from TC or front diff area but hard to tell. I checked all fluids underneath(diff, tranny, TC). I went ahead and changed the front diff fluid and greased all the u joints, i couldnt get the grease to come out of all sides so im thinking of picking up some new ones and putting them on to make sure they are properly greased. Needless to say the noise is still there so any ideas what could be causing this?? Thanks for the help.

When was the last time the wheel bearings were re-packed?
Or the t-case fluid changed?
What type of fluid was last used in the t-case?

Transfer Case fluid was changed 6 months to a year ago. I used 75w-90 gear oil i believe. The right wheel bearing was repacked a year and a half ago but the left probably has never been done.

I'd go ahead and repack all four wheel bearings.
They should always be done in a set of 4.

Thanks, ill try that next. While im down there I was thinking about putting some new grease in the swivel housing, thats probably never been done also. Should I just pump in new grease until it starts coming out since I dont I have a drain plug? I didnt know if you could overfill them and cause damage.

I pump 20 pumps from my grease gun into each side once a year.
