Not Another Tire Thread !?!
Getting new tires soon, I've been looking around for some good deals. Came across these, and can not find a bad review(other than being made in taiwan) on them. And they're cheap! I really dig the sidewall biters, too.
Alot of the reviews say they wear well, and are not overly loud on the hi-way.

That, and the cost of shipping to east coast would buy a 5th for a spare. Them Federals are almost as cheap as the treadwright's by time you pay for shipping then mounting/balancing.
But, I haven't dismissed the 265/75 guard dogs. They get alot of good reviews also.
that is what i have the 265/75 guard dogs. and i got em on sale it came to about $120 per tire with shipping. Im going to buy a 6th soon so i can rotate 2 new tires into the mix. anyways i love them.
I have those Federal's on my Disco right now, and had then on a Cherokee a few years ago. As for wear it is about the same as any other rough tread tire, the trick to these is keeping them rotated. Once the tread starts flipping on the corners it is all over. They do go pretty good offroad though and look like a little version of TSL Swampers
I read one review where a guy had them on his full size dodge p/u, said he got about 30k miles out of them. Sound plausible?
30k sounds about the max, and they sing a nice song to you on dry pavement in the summer time. I have heard 38's that were quieter, no sneeking around that is for sure. I am happy with them used to be able to get them a lot cheaper I priced a spare the other day for $170 these tires used to be under a $100 when they first came out
