Is there anywhere that sells headliners for d1? not just the fabric but the actual liner? I have searched like crazy trying to find one with no luck. I also need some interior bits like the plastic plate for the window switches (mine is cracked) i have almost got my disco sorted but these little things drive me crazy.

Don't know of anyone who sells the actual liner. Most people take the entire headliner housing out and have the fabric reupholstered. It requires some delicate maneuvering but it can be done. Hard to find the D1 plastic plate for the window switches. If you have a pick your parts nearby or craigslist, look for D1's that are being scrapped and get as many of the parts you can. Hard finding D1's these days so look far and wide. Check ebay maybe. Ask the forum members here and see who has spare parts, probably your best bet.

 

I just bought a bunch of D1 parts that filled a sea can. There was a couple of the fiberglass headliners but they were both folded, and the fabric was coming off.

I think I found a window switch plate in there as well. It was black plastic,.not with the wood grain pattern plastic on it.

I have a few disco bits laying around - shoot me a list.
Those faceplates for the window switches can be 3d printed now - so that is always an option for replacement.

Headliners are hard to come by, but Will Tillery will be your best bet.

 

I may have a good Headliner backer in a D1 at the shop. I can check tomorrow. I'm in Augusta GA as shipping this would probably be a bad idea.

Found a couple of the power window switch covers in the parts I bought, there is a cracked woodgrain one with intact tabs, and a black one with no tabs. I wonder if the black one just had woodgrain plastic removed? I know I have a couple more buy haven't found them yet.

I will post a.couple pics, if the black one just has the plastic removed you may be able to do that to yours as well?
