Default Radiator in a Standard

Can a radiator for an auto be used in a standard disco? Can't seem to find a definitive answer.

Thanks

I don't see why not. The R380 has an oil pump. If it isn't plumbed into the radiator just block off the ports for the auto.

Yes, it will work (I've done it). But for the extra internal AT cooler, the Rads are the same in size (core included) and fitment.
Just cap or plug the 2 trans cooler fittings under the upper rad hose.

And just an FYI, the Nissens Rad #64029 is sold to fit both AT and M trans trucks.
And the only "mod" as per their instructions is to block the AT cooler ports. > https://catalogue.nissens.com/Product

I have a theory that manual trucks didn't suffer slipped liners and overheating at the same rate as autos because the manuals effectively had larger cooling capacity because the radiator wasn't cooling the transmission as well as the engine. There were not enough manuals imported to prove this though.

I'm in the market for a replacement radiator that works with my 5speed transmission.
This one is also available on eBay for $194

Toran,
"I'm in the market for a replacement radiator that works with my 5speed transmission."

See IHScouts comment above as the one you linked to will undoubtedly be for the Auto. But I'm curious for a definitive answer as Ive always been under the impression the auto and manual rads were most definitely different, and though I don't need a rad right now I may in the future.

the 5 speed models have a skinny standalone trans cooler fitted, the rad I believe is the same as the auto and includes the same oil cooler.

try checking or calling Bearmach, they will know the manual models better and their shipping is pretty awesome.

Try this one with your VIN

Had a fuel tank shipped to me in 3 days, $30 shipping.

Its actually the opposite. I have both the auto and manual radiators at home. The only difference I see is that the manual has no trans cooler ports on the drivers side tank, and it does not have the small horizontal cylinder trans cooler right behind the grill.
