I replaced mine with an aftermarket Pioneer with blue tooth for my IPhone and Pandora. Sounds excellent with J&L 6" mids all the way around including J&L subs. I kept the factory tweets in the A pillars.

Been there done all that. I chucked mine into the spare parts bin, tape deck and 6 CD's don't cut it anymore.

Notice any LED's out you can pick them up at a Radio Shock. I did.

RADIO CODE ISSUES!

So after getting some work done (battery, alt, etc) - my radio is flashing CODE. I got this Rover (91 CountySE) a year ago. I found a code written in the manual but it didn't work. I found another 5 digit number hand written on the deck itself - didn't work. Called LandRover here in my area (actually the very Dealership where it was originally purchased in '91) and they used my vin to look it up. They found NOTHING about a radio code - only an ignition code?

Maybe a different deck from the original car? (It's a Rover deck - looks original)

Any suggestions?

The dealership said the only other thing to do is bring it in, remove the deck, and call Land Rover International or something for the code (and a charge of $135).

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

For anyone coming across this page through Google STAY WELL AWAY from the above site, it is a known scam network that frequently references a code calculator that is nowhere to be found, fooling desperate vehicle owners into clicking the many ads on the site and risking a virus or two in the process. If anyone does require a radio code for their Land Rover radio, we at RapidRadioCodes are a reputable UK-based company with hundreds of reviews across our TrustPilot and Reviews.co.uk platforms, and at £4.99 we charge the lowest price you're likely to find anywhere for Land Rover radio codes. You can view some of these reviews at our Land Rover decoder page here: https://www.rapidradiocodes.co.uk/ma...ers/land-rover. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. You should really post this in any of the model sections that are newer than the D1. Discos didn’t have radio codes until 02 or 03.

I wasn't aware of that about the Discoverys, thanks for that Harvlr. I hadn't paid any attention to the section it was posted in as I came across this thread while doing some research for another model on Google and found that the scam site had been linked to, so thought it a good idea to make the reputation of that site clear and provide a legitimate alternative for anyone else coming across the thread in the same way.

With all due respect, this is incorrect. The radio in my 1997 D1 has a code (which I've noted on a piece of tape on the underside of the rubber coin tray on the dash). D1's definitely have radio codes.

Ok Walt, good to know. My ‘01 does not so I assumed that earlier ones didn’t. My 97 P38 does, but it’s a Range Rover.

At least I’ve never needed it, and I’ve had the battery disconnected for periods of time.
I have a spare P38 radio that I don’t have a code for, so I will probably use the services soon.
