Default Rear View Mirror Falls off every 2 months

Ok, I got a new windshield in the summer and have had alot of problems with keeping the rearview mirror attached to the window.

I have used all the autozone products to keep this thing glued on. When I got off my plane last night and when I went to the disco the mirrow was hanging again. I am at my wits end with this mirror, I like the benefits of the built in lights but am ready to cut the cord and purchase a cheap mirrow to glue on.

Any thoughts as to how to keep the mirror glued to the windshield, I live in colorado and have temp swings but my wife's LR3 mirror has never fallen off?

Make sure you follow the instructions when glueing back on to tee.... The windshield needs to be absolutely clean, rubbed down with alcohol etc. I've had the same issues when rushing and skipping that step.

Those "DIY" kits never work.
Take it back to the glass shop that did your windshield and have them reglue it.
If nothing else it will cost you about $20.
Also you cannot put the mirror back on for a min of 24 hours to let the glue set up good.
If it is cold out it needs longer to set up.

If it is too cold I don't think it is ever setting. Clean it up and glue it on after a drive where the truck and windshield have heated up. Park in a garage for the next couple hours so it can set. I've used the do it yourself glue but in fairer temps.

When you glue the mount to the glass, how long do you let it set prior to hooking the mirror up? Try 24 hours so the glue real cures.

I just did the DIY kit yesterday afternoon and but the D1 in the garage to keep it some what warm. Luckly in Colorado Springs the weather was warm yesterday. I am going to wait until tomorrow morning to put the mirror back on.

What do you think?>?

Its going to fall off again. The mirror is to heavy for the DIY glue.
You need the industrial stuff.
I had the same problem with my aftermarket mirror.
It has a compass and temp in the mirror, it weighs like 64 lbs, glass shop glued it on for $10.
The DIY glue worked until summer, then the heat softened it and the mirror kept falling off.
