I've replaced pumps in many assemblies, but only when the cost of the assembly is outrageous and when the assembly is in tip-top shape.

I don't wear slip ons.

My Carter has lasted four years without incident. Pump fittings in excellent condition, no need to toss the baby out with the bath water.
