My truck needs new shocks. What do you guys recommend?

Currently considering the Terrafirma Tf220: Terrafirma All Terrain Shock Kit - TF220

and these: Shock Kit - Front & Rear - Coil (Part # 9210 ) - Land Rover kits from Atlantic British

This truck stays on the road most of the time so I don't plan on lifting it. But I do take it on trails occasionally.

I just ordered a round of Bilstein B6 4600 series shocks and struts.
Fronts - 24-188296
Rears - 24-188302

Figure on about $100 each. They seem to last and offer a slightly stiffer ride than stock. I didn't have the Rover when it was new but on my BMW M3's, Bilsteins are stiffer than stock. Bilsteins are known for higher compression damping than average. It reduces body roll and brake dive. I know these aren't race cars but 99% of my Rover miles will be on pavement.

 

I have ironman's gas filled - love'em
dont by cheap shocks they can ruin your tires too

 

I just bought 4 new tires for the truck so I really don't want to ruin them

I have Bilsteins on my 4Runner and I really like them, the ride is slightly stiff but very smooth around town and on the highway. I will also check out Ironman.

I have TF shocks on my 95....they suck
I have had a couple sets of Bilsteins on my 98 and the 96....love them

 

Well that makes the decision easy!

 

I have Old Man Emu rear shocks. Very happy with them. My driving pattern is very much like yours.

I'll sell you my rear Bilstein's. They had 75,000 miles on them and I can't tell the difference between those and the new ones. 40 bucks. Eric in San Carlos
