Default Roof rack question

This is my first post, I looked around and couldn't find anything that would answer this so my bad if its been posted before.

I have a 96 Disco SE. I saw a cargo rack on craigslist, except its for a Disco 2. The make/model of the rack is Saftey devices; Highlander high roof rack. Does anybody know if this will fit a Disco 1?

This site is an excellent source of info, Thanks

Yes it will fit but it will be a little long. My friend has a D2 rack on his D1 and it looks fine. Just center the rack so the extra inches are split between front and rear.

I have seen them on DI and it is hard to see the size issue. I have a brownchurch full roof rack which came with my Rover. Good construction however the coating is peeling and it is beginning to rust. Check it over for rust!

Thanks, I'm going to go check it out asap. I'll try and get some pics up if I get it.

Here is what it will look like, 6" to long.

But it fits just fine, just line up the front and let the back hang over.

How much are they asking for it?

That pic looks like it will be fine w/ me, give me a little extra room and tie down points. I think they were asking 300, but I've gotta check it out and see if its all tore up. I'm out in the boonies of the Rust Belt, but kinda close to Toledo Oh. anybody else up this way? I've literally seen 2 other rovers in the 2-3 weeks I've been driving mine.
